Further Growth Fuelled by 2nd Pallet Network - UPN

Writer: Frederick R MillerFrederick R Miller

Frederick R Miller Ltd (FRM) have recently joined United Pallet Network (UPN) to service a number of GU postcodes. Having been a Palletways member since 2002, this initiative to join a 2nd pallet network is aimed at giving additional support to existing and prospective customers. A family owned business, FRM  has a strong reputation for quality and service both locally and nationally and this new membership into UPN offers additional flexibility and cost effective logistic solutions.

UPN, established in 2001 and now with over 90 member depots giving a combined fleet of over 5,000 delivery vehicles, a purpose built 300,000 sq.ft. central UK hub supported by a bespoke technology platform, UPN members and their customers can be assured that their palletised freight is being shipped safely and efficiently. Add to this industry leading green credentials, UPN was a logical choice for the FRM team.

Michael Brown, GM says “We were looking to fill some extra capacity in certain areas as well as offering our customers additional options to those already in place. We have to ensure that supporting our customers’ businesses is our core focus and this always entails being mindful and receptive to viable alternatives. UPN impressed us with their open and honest approach and a network of members that would complement our existing business.”

FRM currently operates 30 vehicles and 8 double-deck trailers and employs a total workforce of over 50. The range of palletised products transported is extremely diverse and includes dog food, furniture, building materials, paint, board games and garden materials. With weekly pallet movements steadily increasing, FIRM's growth and reputation shows no sign of slowing down, testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole team.

Delivery performance is similarly impressive and customers can be assured that their freight is being consistently tracked and delivered on time and in good condition. This recent partnership with UPN will strengthen this service both locally and nationally and further cement FRM's position as one of the UK’s leading palletised haulier.
